Eickhoff allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks across six innings in a no-decision Monday against the Red Sox. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff allowed a multitude of baserunners in the second and third innings as he allowed three runs, and he tacked on an unearned tally as Jackie Bradley came around to score following an error in the fourth. He still threw the ball quite well, hitting the strike zone at a 67 percent clip, and the six strikeouts were his highest total since May 16. Quality starts have been hard to come by for Eickhoff, as this was just his second such feat since the third outing of the season, and it lowered his ERA to an uninspiring 5.09. The right-hander has still yet to taste victory for the first time in 2017 and will look to nab that elusive win Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
