Eickhoff allowed five earned runs on eight hits and three walks over 3.2 innings Tuesday against Seattle. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
This was the shortest outing of Eickhoff's career, largely due to issues with his command. He threw almost half of his pitches for balls, and was victimized by two home runs on pitches left over the heart of the plate. Philadelphia's offense took him off the hook for the loss in this contest, but his first victory of the season continues to elude him. Fourteen earned runs have now crossed the plate in Eickhoff's last three starts. He'll try to right the ship next Tuesday at Texas.
