Edgin (elbow) has been placed on the DL by the Mets, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. He will miss the 2015 season due to Tommy John surgery, and the Mets will transfer him to the 60-day DL upon needing a 40-man roster spot in the coming weeks.
