Kennedy earned the save Friday against the Mets after allowing one run on one hit while fanning one across one inning.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy entered the game when the Phillies had a 4-1 lead and even though he allowed a ninth-inning blast to Jonathan Villar, he still slammed the door while needing 21 pitches (15 strikes) to do so. This was his first save as a member of the Phillies, but he has gone 17-for-18 in save chances during the current season while playing for both Philadelphia and the Rangers. He also owns an excellent 1.09 WHIP through 35.2 innings on the year.
