Dyson will remain the Rangers closer even with the addition of Jeremy Jeffress, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson owns a 2.42 ERA and is a solid 22-for-24 in save opportunities this season. Considering Jeffress only has half a season's worth of closing experience, it isn't surprising the Rangers will use him in a set-up role and leave Dyson in the role he has had success in all season long. Jeffress, by comparison, had a 2.22 ERA with 27 saves in 28 opportunities for the Brewers, giving the Rangers another option should Dyson falter down the stretch.
