Dustin McGowan was knocked around for five runs on six hits over 2 1/3 innings Tuesday in a start against a group of Yankees' minor leaguers. He threw 40 out of 68 pitches for strikes while walking two and striking out five. While the line was pretty ugly, McGowan felt fine physically and admitted that he didn't have the same adrenaline rush facing minor league hitters. The 29-year-old right-hander has yet to make it through three innings this spring, but he's a good bet to open the year as the Jays' fifth starter since he's out of options.
