Dustin McGowan (foot) remains without a timetable to return. "The foot continues to feel better but we're going to make sure that every symptom is out of there because he admits he started to alter his arm slot when the foot issue started to emerge," said Blue Jays manager John Farrell. "That begins to get into a dangerous area, and we're not going to risk anything along those lines." It's not surprising that the Jays will proceed with extra caution given McGowan's injury history. Kyle Drabek and Aaron Laffey are competing to hold down a rotation spot until the plantar fasciitis in McGowan's right foot heals.
