During an interview with Chris Toman of MLB.com on Friday, Alex Anthopoulos said that he did not expect Darren Oliver to be with the Blue Jays on Opening Day. Anthopoulos believes that the veteran left-hander will opt for retirement. Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports said Thursday that Oliver wanted to return in 2013, but not for the $3 million option that the Blue Jays have on him. Oliver has stated a desire to play for his hometown Rangers, so retirement isn't a foregone conclusion just yet.
