Duffy's stint at first base probably wouldn't last long, as the Giants hope to have Brandon Belt (groin) available by Monday, and haven't even ruled him out for the upcoming weekend. While Duffy thus seems unlikely to add first-base eligibility within the next week or two, he could eventually log enough games at the position to qualify.
