Duffy went 2-for-6 with a double and a pair of RBI in Thursday's extra-inning loss to the Diamondbacks. Duffy got another start at third base in place of the injured Casey McGehee (knee). McGehee did make an appearance as a pinch-hitter and could be back in the lineup Friday, which would push the hot-hitting Duffy back to the bench. It would be hard for manager Bruce Bochy to keep Duffy's bat out of the lineup card, especially with how anemic the Giants' offense has been this season, but he simply doesn't have a place to play him once McGehee is back. Duffy did shag some fly balls in the outfield during spring training, but that seems like an unlikely scenario given his lack of experience at the position.
