Duffy gave up three runs on five hits over two innings against the White Sox in his spring debut Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty's first pitch of the spring was crushed by Adam Eaton for an opposite-field home run. It might set him back a bit in his bid to claim one of the two open spots in the Kansas City rotation, but Duffy will have several chances to right the ship. Duffy thrived in a bullpen role late last year, with his fastball ticking up from 94 mph to 96, and pitching coach Dave Eiland and manager Ned Yost said they are open to all possibilities with Duffy.
