Duda (back) was cleared Wednesday to resume swinging a bat, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda has been sidelined for nearly a week while dealing with a back issue that was indirectly addressed with a pair of cortisone shots in his hips a few days ago, and with the shots apparently having taken effect, he'll now be able to resume activity. The first baseman is expected to make his Grapefruit League debut in the upcoming days, which should assuage some of the concerns about Duda's health that those drafting fantasy teams may have had about the first baseman this spring.
