Dozier is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

It's a little surprising to see Dozier left out after he homered Wednesday and following a team off day Thursday, but the Twins have not given any indication that there is an injury in play. Dozier has sat just one other time to this point and he's been a little slow to get going this season, so it seems manager Paul Molitor just decided Dozier could use a bit of an extended rest. Eduardo Nunez will man second base in his absence.
