Doubront pitched well Friday in a no-decision, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk across six innings in a win over the Astros. He struck out four.

EDGE Analysis

This looked like a disaster outing in the making with all the strong righty bats in the Astros order, but Doubront did very well to allow only six base runners. Doubront has very little upside for fantasy purposes and will likely have trouble finding his way into a rotation come next season. In any case, he'll finish the year in the A's rotation and start next Thursday against the Rangers, a team who blew him up to the tune of seven runs in his previous start.
