Doolittle will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton on Thursday, reports John Hickey of Bay Area News Group. Doolittle has looked good in his rehab work to date and will now test his shoulder in game action. Once Doolittle is ready to join the A's, it is expected that he will be the A's closer soon after his activation.
