Doolittle (shoulder) went through another "two innings" of sock throws Wednesday, manager Bob Melvin believes he might begin playing catch by the end of the week, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Doolittle continues to rehab his shoulder following a slight tear in his left rotator cuff. While he'll likely begin the season on the disabled list, but appears to be progressing well and could be on track to rejoin the team in late April.
