The veteran southpaw got through his frame in a quick 13 pitches, nine of which he threw for strikes. It was an extension of the success that Doolittle enjoyed over his last three rehab outings after he made some adjustments to his mechanics. A healthy and effective Doolittle would naturally make for a particularly valuable left-handed late-inning asset out of the bullpen for manager Bob Melvin.
