Doolittle (oblique) threw off a mound Monday and felt good, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Doolittle will face live hitters Wednesday and could come off the DL late in the week. The A's have only had two save opportunities since he hit the DL, but getting him back will be big for their bullpen and nice for owners down the stretch, if the A's can get some leads for Doolittle to save.
