Doolittle blew the save Wednesday, coughing up five runs on three hits, two walks and a home run, while recording only one out against the Rangers. Doolittle wasted a stellar outing by starter Jeff Samardzija, who shut the Ranger out for eight innings. The closer was perfect in his two previous appearances since being reinstated from the disabled list September 13.
