Dodgers sent RHP Carlos Marmol outright to Triple-A Albuquerque. Marmol passed through waivers without drawing a claim and accepted an assignment to the minors on Thursday morning. The right-hander will try to work his way into the Los Angeles bullpen with a strong showing in the Pacific Coast League. He had a 5.86 ERA in 27 2/3 innings with the Cubs before they traded him (and cash) to Los Angeles for reliever Matt Guerrier on July 2. The Dodgers then designated Marmol for assignment.
