Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has spoken to free agent third baseman Scott Rolen. ESPN's Buster Olney has reported in recent weeks that the Dodgers have considered making a run at Rolen, but the 37-year-old would prefer to stay in Cincinnati if he continues his career. Still a gold glove caliber defender, if healthy Rolen would represent an upgrade over Luis Cruz at third base for the Dodgers.
