EDGE Analysis
Now in his 14th MLB season, Dickey's 14th loss Monday gave him a new career high, surpassing the 13 he had dropped in three prior campaigns. In the hurler's second shortest start of the season, Dickey allowed more hits and runs than he had surrendered in either category over his previous five starts. The veteran is 0-6 in his last nine starts at Yankee Stadium, including three losses in the Bronx this season. Dickey had trouble keeping his pitches down Monday, leading to a season-low two ground outs and a first-inning, two-run homer that the knuckleballer was unable to ever rebound from.
