Diamondbacks signed INF Nick Evans to a minor league contract. Evans hit .214/.313/.214 with two RBI in 14 at-bats for the Dodgers this spring before being released on March 18. He's displayed solid power potential in the minors before, and could be a candidate to see time as a reserve outfielder for the D'Backs if Cody Ross has to spend more time than anticipated on the DL. For now, he'll serve as depth at the Triple-A level.
