Diamondbacks sent 1B Nick Evans outright to Triple-A Reno. Evans was designated for assignment by Arizona last week and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 28-year-old first baseman and corner outfielder went 1-for-11 with seven strikeouts during his short time in the bigs.
