Diamondbacks released 1B/OF Nick Evans. Evans has agreed to a deal with Japan's Rakuten Golden Eagles, so the Diamondbacks have released him from his contract. The 28-year-old has appeared in 16 games with the D'Backs this season, slashing .238/.238/.476 with a homer and four RBI in his 21 at-bats.
