Diamondbacks recalled LHP Tyler Skaggs from Triple-A Reno. Skaggs will get an opportunity in the Diamondbacks' rotation while Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) is on the disabled list. The 21-year-old has a 5.23 ERA over nine starts this year with Triple-A Reno, but he has been much better recently and struck out nine over six innings last Monday in a spot-start against the Rangers. While he's not a recommended option in Tuesday's start against the Cardinals, those in mixed leagues should put him on their watch lists.
