Diamondbacks purchased the contract of INF Chris Owings from Triple-A Reno. Ownings was named Rookie of the Year in the Triple-A Pacific Coast League in late August after hitting .330 with an .841 OPS, 12 home runs, 81 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 125 games. The 22-year-old has a bright future as a fantasy infielder but is unlikely to get ample playing time down the stretch this season with the D'Backs.
