Diamondbacks purchased the contract of 1B/OF Nick Evans from Triple-A Reno. Evans went 1-for-11 with seven strikeouts during his short time in the bigs earlier this season but has hit .354/.423/.631 with 11 homers at Triple-A. He'll back up at first base and the corner outfield spots.
