Diamondbacks prospect Chris Owings was 4-for-4 on Tuesday night with three home runs, three runs scored and five RBI. The 21-year-old is enjoying a monster season at Triple-A Reno, as he's batting .355/.375/.509 with 143 hits, 23 doubles, 11 home runs and 15 stolen bases through 92 games. Due to the Diamondbacks influx of shortstop prospects during the offseason, Owings was moved up to Triple-A this season despite posting a .668 OPS with 69 strikeouts in 69 games at Double-A in 2012. While Owings has certainly hit his way onto the major league radar, his lack of plate discipline (76/12 K/BB) leaves something to be desired.
