Diamondbacks placed RHP J.J. Putz on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 4, with right forearm tightness. It's not clear when Putz began dealing with the ailment, but it could partly explain why he allowed five runs over his last four appearances. There's no timeable for the veteran reliever's return.
