Diamondbacks optioned LHP Tyler Skaggs to Triple-A Reno. Skaggs was recalled and made two starts after the All-Star break but he lasted just 3 2/3 innings on Saturday, forcing the hand of the Diamondbacks. Skaggs owns a 2-3 record and 5.35 ERA in 38 2/3 innings with the Diamondbacks this season. With Brandon McCarthy set to return next week, Skaggs may not be back up before September call-ups.
