Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said Monday it "could be" Tyler Skaggs who replaces Trevor Cahill (hip) in the starting rotation. The Diamondbacks called up right-handed reliever Chaz Roe on Monday to take Cahill's spot on the active roster, but Skaggs is the most logical candidate to get the call later this week. The southpaw has a 5.40 ERA in three starts with the D-Backs this season, but has a very promising future. Charles Brewer could also be an option for the assignment.
