Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson confirmed that Tyler Skaggs will be called up from Triple-A Reno to start Tuesday against the Cardinals. That was the expectation after Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) was placed on the disabled list, but it's now official. Skaggs pitched brilliantly last Monday against the Rangers, tossing six shutout innings while fanning a career-high six. The Cardinals are a very tough matchup, but Skaggs has upside in mixed leagues.
