Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said the MRI of Stites' elbow looked pretty clean, MLB.com's Steve Gilbert reports. Stites also had an MRI earlier in the month, and while he seems to have avoided structural damage, he may not be ready for Opening Day. It's possible Stites could open his season with Triple-A Reno, but he's expected to contribute to the big-league bullpen this season.
