Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said O'Brien has "blossomed" at the plate lately, the Arizona Republic reports.

After starting 1-for-9 in Cactus League play, O'Brien has 10 hits in his last 26 at-bats. He also leads the team with three home runs and 11 RBI this spring. Regular playing time might still elude him, however, as he hasn't looked comfortable in the outfield and Arizona has some depth there. O'Brien has played once at first this spring and has yet to catch.
