Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale has intimated that Anderson is in position to claim a rotation spot, The Arizona Republic reports. The same goes for Trevor Cahill, so while nothing is yet certain, it seems the Diamondbacks may have a whole host of pitchers competing for just one spot. Josh Collmenter and Jeremy Hellickson entered spring training as locks, leaving Cahill and Anderson as the likely third and fourth options in the rotation. Assuming Cahill and Anderson do in fact solidify their spots, the likes of Robbie Ray, Rubby De La Rosa, Allen Webster and Randall Delgado will all be left to fight for the fifth and final spot.
