Diamondbacks and RHP Brad Ziegler avoided arbitration by agreeing to a two-year, $9.5 million contract extension. The deal also includes a $5.5 million club option for 2016 or a $1 million buyout. Ziegler was in his final year of arbitration eligibility, so the D'Backs have bought out at least one year of free agency. The side-arming right-hander has posted a 2.35 ERA over the last two seasons for Arizona and will help set up for them again in 2014.
