Ramirez was designated for assignment by Toronto on Monday.

Ramirez was scooped up off waivers by the Blue Jays on Sept. 5 and was sent to Triple-A Buffalo to finish out the year. He'll head right back to waivers after his new club booted him from the 40-man roster Monday.
