Ruiz recorded just four hits in his last 24 at-bats and appeared to have lost his job as an everyday starter in the infield, having played only twice since May 12. Despite homering three times, Ruiz has just six RBI on the season. He yields his roster spot to Stevie Wilkerson, whom the Orioles called up Tuesday.
