Delgado has been named the starter for Saturday's game against the Marlins, ArizonaSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Delgado's transition from long relief to a starting role in place of Taijuan Walker (finger) has gone swimmingly through two turns in the rotation, as the right-hander has turned in a 1.86 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB across 9.1 innings. Now that's he's build up his arm over the first two starts, Delgado shouldn't face any pitch-count restrictions in Saturday's outing, but it's expected that he'll head back to the bullpen beginning next week. Walker threw a successful three-inning simulated game Tuesday and is on track to take back his rotation spot Sunday in the series finale.
