DeGrom will start the Mets' fourth game after the All-Star break, Monday against the Cubs, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Bartolo Colon will start Friday and then be followed by Logan Verrett, Steven Matz, deGrom and Noah Syndergaard. The Mets were looking to give Matz, deGrom and Syndergaard some additional rest and accomplish this by starting Colon and Verrett the first two games after the break. DeGrom, after dealing with decreased velocity the first part the season, has regained the MPH on his fastball the past several weeks. He will look to continue his fine pitching in a tough matchup against Chicago.
