DeGrom was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday after an MRI showed rotator cuff tendinitis in his pitching shoulder, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. The news is probably the best that could have been hoped for by the Mets and deGrom, as it means that his shoulder is structurally sound.
