DeGrom (elbow) has been scratched from his scheduled start Sunday and is considered unlikely to return this season, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Gabriel Ynoa has been tabbed for Sunday's start with deGrom still battling issues with the ulnar nerve in his pitching arm. General manager Sandy Alderson said deGrom will likely need surgery, but he said it won't be a significant procedure, so Tommy John seems to be off the table. It's uncertain at this point if deGrom will face any limitations at the start of spring training.
