DeGrom allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk through six innings Thursday against the Nationals. He struck out four and didn't receive a decision in the eventual extra-inning loss. Two-thirds of the damage against DeGrom came on a two-run homer off the bat of Ian Desmond -- the first home run in more than two months allowed by the 26-year-old rookie. The last homer he'd given up was a two-run jack by Cubs pitcher Travis Wood back on June 5, and he's allowed just six homers in 16 starts for the Mets this year. He's still won five straight decisions, and will look to make it six on Tuesday in a rematch with Washington.
