Simpson suffered a left index finger sprain Thursday and is considered day-to-day, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
He exited Thursday's game against the Yankees with the injury, but it doesn't sound like it will result on an injured list stint. Simpson hit .317 with 10 steals, 11 runs, zero home runs and three RBI in 82 at-bats in July.
