Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Nimmo is day-to-day after X-rays on his left foot came back negative following his removal from Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Twins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Nimmo was lifted from the game ahead of the seventh inning after fouling a ball off the foot in the bottom of the sixth, but he's expected to be fine. The Mets have a scheduled off day Thursday, giving Nimmo some extra rest before a weekend series against the Angels.
