Davis will play center field and bat ninth against the Angels on Wednesday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After batting leadoff in the first two games, Davis will make way for Matt Joyce at the top of the order while he heads to the nine-hole. Davis was 2-for-10 to start the year and was caught stealing in his only attempt. As this will be the third straight right-handed pitcher the A's will face, it's unclear if manager Bob Melvin plans to use this lineup regularly moving forward, though that should become more explicit within the next few weeks.
