Davis was removed from Sunday's game against the Indians in the bottom of the eighth inning due to right groin tightness and is considered day-to-day, MLB.com's Jason Beck reports. After delivering a single in his at-bat during the ninth, Davis immediately headed back to the dugout upon arriving at first base, suggesting that he might have hurt himself while running. The speedy outfielder had been sensational for the Tigers over the last two games, going 5-for-8 with six runs scored and three stolen bases while reaching base two additional times on a walk and hit by pitch. Davis was replaced by Anthony Gose on Sunday, who will take on an even larger portion of the center field duties if Davis' injury keeps him unavailable over the next few games.
