Davis is out of the lineup Monday due to an illness, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Davis checked into a local hospital Sunday night with a virus, but he's said to be doing much better Monday. Manager Buck Showalter went as far as to tell the media that there's a chance Davis could be available as a pinch hitter, but at this point his status remains firmly up in the air. Ryan Flaherty will get the starting nod at first base.
