David Wright told reporters Friday that he has had "zero" talks with the Mets about a contract extension. There's been plenty of clamoring for the Mets to begin negotiations following Wright's hot start to the season. While the team would reportedly love to keep him around as the face of the franchise, nothing appears to be imminent. The 29-year-old third baseman is owed $15 million this season while his contract includes a $16 million option for 2013 or a $1 million buyout. Assuming talks eventually take place, Wright will likely seek something similar to Ryan Zimmerman's recent six-year, $100 million extension with the Nationals.
